Playmate Kelly Carrington

Based on all the data I had from before and the replies I received to my retrospective ranking for each year, I did some rough calculations and tried to estimate the most popular Playmate for each year.

I am not for a second trying to suggest that this data is very conclusive. I am merely presenting it as a suggestion open to further discussions.

While going through this list and deciding for which of the years you agree with the selection and for which of them you don’t, please do not match with your personal choices but instead go by what you believe is the most popular choice. You would have some idea in your mind as to which Playmate could be the popular choice for each year based on your discussions on this board as well as your interactions in other venues.

Let us see for which years we agree right away and for which of them we don’t. Where we don’t agree we can exchange a few posts and see if some consensus can be reached. If not then we will list out the possibilities and leave the final choice as debatable.

For some of the years it’s very tight between two or more Playmates. In such cases I have tried to select the Playmate who the fewest number of people would object to i.e. she may not be their top choice but would probably be in their top three. For the sake of uniformity I am stating only one name against each year. You can easily guess the closest competitors.

I am only doing a Top 5 of each year, there is a lot of ties on the 5 spot because I thought many of them are equally worthy of a top 5 spot. I also have in parenthesis my top 20 of the decade. This is a very important decade to me, because it is the one I really started collecting and following Playboy. A lot of you have Sandra Hubby fairly low in 2004, but she is one of my top 5 of the decade and I consider her a Marissa Miller lookalike when she first pose. I think Alison Waite, Nicole Voss, and Lauren Michelle Hill are a close 1,2, and 3 respectively.

I also ranked the years and the qualities of Playmates. I ranked 2001 my top year because there is 4 top 20s but 2006 is a close second with both 1 and 2 in that same year. I like 2004, 2007, and 2009 equally. I think 2009 is a fairly good year, giving us at least 4 memorable Playmates. I thought 2008 was also a decent year with the likes of Regina Deutinger, Kelly Carrington, and AJ Alexander all very memorable. 2002 and 2003 were the dark years, they did have decent girls like Lauren Anderson and Marketa Janska, but they don’t rank as high on my list. I give Marketa a tie for 20, just so 2003 would have someone ranked.

Also, Sara Jean Underwood was once very high on my list, but recently has dropped a lot for some reason. Still a very sweet girl in my book, but I think her fall is because I really like Alison, Nicole, and Jordan to be PMOY and I thought she robbed them of the title. Maybe it’s just the mood I’m in when I wrote this, but SJU probably broke all my Top 5 about two years ago.

The only PMOYs that made my top 20 is Jayde Nicole at 13 and Kara Monaco at 14. Go figure.

I liked the Ecko pics as well. I have some photography books from artists like Guido Argentini, Frank De Mulder, Herve Lewis, Bruno Bisang, etc., I hope he does a book, too.

I also liked that how to take a bath pictorial and, like you, wondered why the pics were so small and mostly the same. I had no idea that was Kelly Carrington.

Maybe it’s time to rethink the Brazil Playboy subscription? The soccer issue is one of my favorites. Or maybe they can make a Norway/Brazil edition, haaha.

Hey glad to hear that you’re still around and attending the GC events,
Hairball. Once again, thanks for the pics in the past. I really liked
your shoots, because they were full body shots and many times people
tend to leave out the girls beautiful legs from the shoot, which is
one of my favorite part. By the way, do you have a new website because
your old one doesn’t work, that’s why I thought you’re no longer
around posting GC pictures anymore? Also, do you still have the
pictures from Day 2 of the last Glamourcon at LA? Did you get any
pictures of the beautiful Alison Waite and Kelly Carrington?

I hope you’re doing well, and don’t feel bad about procrastinating, we
all do it. Just as long as you share your magnificent pictures with us
one day, we really appreciate it.

After having said repeatedly that in 2008 the Playmates are very close to each other in terms of quality and not being able to rank them, I have finally managed to make my list. So here it is.

Just because someone told him that Ida was PMOY does not mean they
know 100% for sure why she was selected. And if the person that told
him the news was also in the running for PMOY (or heard the news from
someone who is friends with another contestant) they could just be
pissed that they weren’t chosen and making it up. But you have to look
at it for what it is – completely unbelievable. So Ida is hot enough
to bribe Hef with sexual favors for the title, but not the cover?
Sorry, but Hef has a thing for blondes and I am sure that there is a
long line of Playmates that have thrown themselves at Hef hoping to
win, but I just don’t see Hef falling for it – otherwise Bridget would
have been made a Playmate and Erik’s favorite Playmate Tina Jordan
would have been selected PMOY. Even if it’s true there is no way to
prove it – it just seems like sour grapes and sorry, Hef is many
things but I don’t think he’s A) that desperate and B) that stupid. He
takes a lot things into consideration for the title and if Ida wasn’t
well liked by the staff, the photographers, the readers or the public
while on promotions there is no amount of promised pu**y in the world
that would make him give into that type of bribe. He doesn’t need to
give into it – there is a line of other girls that are willing to
participate.
